Revival what does it mean to you?

Most of us especially if we have grown up in the church would think that having a revival is a big assembly of believers together and the Spirit is out poured on everyone and spirits are refreshed. In the book The Calvary Road Roy Hession describes it in another way and a way that he experienced revival.  We need to learn to humble ourselves and walk the way of the Cross.  Too many times we think that it is others that need to have a revival when really we are the ones who need it.  Revival does not have to always be a big and spectacular event, it can be a very humbling experience between yourself and God. First, we must be willing to allow the Lord to work in our own lives before we can be worried about him working in someone elses life.

Romans 7:5,6 puts it this way:

When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced sinful deeds, resulting in death. But now we have been released from the law, for we died with Christ, and we are no longer captive to its power. Now we can really serve God, not in the old way by obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way, by the Spirit.

I know that I humbly need to come to the foot of the Cross and let Him work in my life.

Have a blessed and Christ fulfilled day!
